Shower Curtain or Glass Doors? etc.

We are about to redo our 2nd floor bathroom after just completing a Master Bath remodel. We are doing this with a view of adding resale value and appeal, even though we don't have any immediate plans to move.

We are going to do a straight replacement without changing the layout, except for some upgrades and enhancements to existing design. [SEE LAYOUT DRAWING BELOW]

1) The first question we have is whether to go with a shower curtain like we have now, or use glass doors? I've seen a lot of pictures both ways on Houzz. Want to make a good choice here, and not sure of what the considerations might be.

2) If glass doors are better, is there a concern about style as far as longevity on the hardware and best design (rolling doors, vs. swinging door); and are there any concerns about having to drill through a cast iron tub to mount them? i.e. What if they fail and need to be replaced at a later date, etc.

3) for the 60-inch vanity: it presently has a large mirror over the full length with a soffit above. We would greatly appreciate any design input on how to update that, what to do with lighting and design if we remove the soffit, etc.

4) is there something exciting we could do with the vanity and vanity wall since we are going down to the studs (pictures?)?

5) Should we look to put a matching cabinet over the toilet, or....? Ideas on how to beautify that wall so we don't just end up with a ho-hum update would be greatly appreciated.

6) Any other expert advice on this update would be greatly appreciated.
