Design help - Attic bath with sloped ceiling

Bath is 5'4" x 11'4", 28" entry door opens into left side of room in front of vanity. Most of the drywall "walls" (not ceiling) have been removed with the exception of a few inches around the vanity & toilet. The current vanity is 36"W & a 22"D x 21"W drywall closet with door has been removed. This drywall closet covered up the Pointy Area in the ceiling. I would miss the function of the linen closet, but removing it has made the room look better and feel much less crowed especially to the side of toilet. I tried shopping for a 36" vanity and 15"W linen closet, but did not know they only seemed to come in 90" 88" 84". Thought of sawing the top off, but afraid I would ruin the cabinet. If I go with the linen closet look again, had planned to drywall the top pointy area above it. The bottom of the pointy area begins @ 79". The bath goes from left to right - old 36"W vanity - old 15H" Toto toilet - new purchase 30W" sterling accord tub shower. The shower head will be below the sloped wall. The room has 8' ceilings with the exception of the sloped & Pointy Area (don't know the term).

Need to purchase new vanity & toilet. Questions: would a 42" vanity size right for the room? Would a 48" vanity be too large? would the 36" vanity and 15" linen closet work or would it look bad? Had also considered 42" vanity with 15" drywall to cover the Pointy Area with open shelving - additional work and time, but nice space for towels, etc. Another idea was 36" vanity with fillers and use a 43" top. The current vanity is 31-32" high. Would enjoy modern 34" height in a new one as I am tall unless it would make the room look out of proportion. Looked @ American standard compact elongated toilet which was 16 1/2 or 16 3/4" without seat. Shower tub, new purchase - tub part is 15"H. Please advise if proportional height of this is OK too. Lowes online sells Kraftmaid vanities (white or wood stain) with cove skirt @ bottom that look nice. Can the coved skirt be removed without damaging the item. I prefer built-in vanity with plain toe kick.

The house is traditional. The bath has no windows. I am looking for proportion and function not anything ornate style wise in this small - medium sized room (not sure if this would qualify as medium size or not).

All items will be removed. New everything.
