Clean Reach certainly seems to have a simple, useful design, but can it really provide easy, touch-free cleaning from floor to ceiling? Is it revolutionary, or are there dozens of products just like it?

If you search online for “extending handle sponge” or “extendable bathroom scrubber,” you’ll quickly find that there are perhaps a dozen or more products that are meaningfully similar to Clean Reach.

We’ll talk about price next, but one of the first differentiating factors you’ll notice between each of these models is the length of each their handles. For example, there’s a difference of almost two feet between how far you can reach with the Collections Etc scrubber compared to the Miles Kimball option.

Pro tip: Even if you’re tall, remember that the handle’s total reach is still important. Why? Because your height means you might have to bend or reach to clean areas closer to the ground.

Another big factor is the availability of replacement heads. Most of these options can be purchased locally at big box retailers, including their replacement heads, so if you run out, finding more can be as easy as hopping in your car.

Are There Any Customer Reviews for Clean Reach?

While there weren’t any online customer reviews for Clean Reach at the time of our research, after reviewing 700+ ASOTV products over the years, we’ve learned that it’s relatively common for a single product to be offered by more than one company at the same time.

With this said, remember the Collections Etc Shower Tub Tile Scrubber Brush we discussed in the previous section? Except for the angled head, it appears to be identical to Clean Reach, from both design and functionality perspectives.

Unfortunately, this appeared to be a new product as well, without any online customer feedback.

Based on their customer service phone number, Clean Reach appears to be manufactured by the same company who brought you Scratch-dini, which had 60+ HighYa reader reviews and a 1.4-star average rating.

Like most As Seen on TV products, regardless of the manufacturer, most complaints claimed that it didn’t work as well as advertised and that the price was too high for what they received.

Obviously, since Clean Reach is a completely different product without any online feedback, there’s no way to know if you’ll experience any of the same. Our job is to provide you with all the information, though, so it might be worth keeping in mind.

Will Clean Reach Make Cleaning Your Home Easier?

Even without any customer reviews and ignoring common feedback for other ASOTV products, the reality is that you can still come to an informed decision about Clean Reach’s ability to make your cleaning tasks easier.

For example, unless you only plan on using Clean Reach for light-duty cleaning, you’ll almost certainly need to place a fair amount of pressure on the handle. In turn, this places additional pressure on the sponge head, giving you the ability to scrub away stuck-on dirt and grime.

The concern? In the Clean Reach commercial, you can clearly see the extended plastic handle bending under pressure. As a result, we’d wonder how long Clean Reach would stand up to regular abuse before breaking.

Another concern is that, although the manufacturer claims Clean Reach can “scrub every single inch of your bathroom without bending,” this almost wholly depends on the length of its handle—something we’re not told about.

Fortunately, the functionally identical Collections Etc scrubber lists its handle length as 24” to 36”, which means Clean Reach features the shortest handle of all its competition.

On top of this, at $17.95 (including S&H), Clean Reach is also the second most expensive option.

And after contacting customer support, we learned that replacement pads aren’t an option. In other words, once the included pads wear out, you’ll need to purchase a whole new set.

Finally, while powered options like the Hurricane Spin Scrubber might cost more, their meaningfully longer handles and spinning heads might provide more bang for your buck. Be sure to watch our video test to see how it performed!
