Improving bathtub/shower combo.

Shower isn't getting use because it is a combo. bath tub/shower with a curtain that makes the tub uncomfortable to use. Have tried the curved shower curtain, didn't work. The tub isn't a soaking tub/is on the small-ish inside, but I hesitate to remove it because it is the only tub in the house. Also do not want to invest in changing out tubs - would rather make current tub/shower combo more serviceable. Could you advise on what you would do? One thought is to install glass doors, ideally in a way that a child could still be bathed in the tub with parental help. Is this possible? How would you envision doing this?

Can a modern freestanding bathtub also be a shower?

carriejlb June 6, 2012 I am remodeling a small bathroom and picture a simple, modern, freestanding tub. There is no room for a separate shower, but I thought I could have an external shower head and suspended oval shower -curtain rod like you often see with clawfoot tubs. But I can't seem to find pics of a similar set up. Is it possible??? Why or why not? Here's an image of the tub I wanted and an example of the kind of shower set I envision. Thanks!!!
