Martin Modern Review | PropertyGuru Singapore

Gambar
Propshort: Though the land was large enough for three towers, Guocoland opted instead to develop just two and use the remaining ground space for greenery and larger, better facilities. Each tower also has a ‘secret garden’ which is essentially a sky garden but on the roof, that is accessible by lift to any resident living on any floor. Several of the stacks will get some west sun but shaders have been built onto the balconies to mitigate the heat and glare. As for the units, they’re suitably luxurious, from the smaller 2BRs to the impressively massive 4BR Premiums . These are top-notch units, designed with such extravagance that you’d want to invite people over often, if just to show off. Martin Modern will launch on the weekend of the 8 and 9 July 2017. Based on the luxurious nature of Guocoland’s venture and its seemingly affluent district , expectations is running at a fevered pitch that the slightest misstep can potentially derail the entire agenda. Martin Modern ascends a slope...

Women Detained in Federal Immigrant Center Complain of Feeling Unsafe

Gambar
As men are moved into a federal immigrant detention center in Pennsylvania, mothers who usually make up the majority of its residents say they feel uncomfortable and unsafe.  By telephone from the Berks County Residential Center in Leesport, one detained immigrant mother repeated the word “fear” over and over. She said she was scared “that something is going to happen here,” and asked to speak anonymously, afraid of retaliation. The center, which provides lodging for  immigrant families as they await deportation, typically houses primarily mothers and children who have been denied asylum, with a few fathers with children sprinkled in. It is one of three family detention centers in the country. But after 10 families who had stayed long-term at the facility were deported in May, men and their children replaced them, said Karen Hoffmann, a legal advocate for immigrants at Berks.  Harvey the Hawk Rescued and in Recovery Gender ratios vary at the Berks County-run facility, which makes...

Opera House and bridge views from gorgeous ground floor apartment

Gambar
No. 1/25 Milson Rd, Cremorne Point . THE INTRIGUING shape of the building in which this lovely ground- floor apartment sits is a sight to behold on approach, its hexagonal turrets and facade enveloping what is clearly a grand old dame. Up on its mini cliff Holyoak sits, and it’s from the front of this original Federation beauty that our apartment casts its appraising eye out over the harbour, with Opera House and Harbour Bridge smack bang in the middle of a picture-perfect view. The hexagonal shaped living and dining room. While soaking up these gorgeous vistas from the large and attractive suntrap terrace is more than enough fun, inside offers plenty more for the discerning Cremorne Point resident. On entering, you’re met with the surprisingly sizeable kitchen , the slightly dark interior of which is offset with its cute round window , and the rather quirky frosted window into the second bedroom next door (which has a door on to that lovely terrace). Next to this, and opp...
