One great thing about frugal living is that being frugal tends to lower your impact on the environment. In honor of Earth Day, we have collected some money saving tips and articles that are also good for the environment. Ride A Bike Get a bicycle. Goodwill stores often have nice used ones for $10 or so. Make sure it's the right size for you, it's comfortable and you know how everything on it works. Then put reflectors on it, a basket on the front and/or back, get a lightweight lock, and go for it. Optional: light, and rear-view mirror on handlebars. And please always wear bright-colored clothes when riding, or at least tie a bright scarf on the back. Thrifty, green people know how to avoid accidents. Thanks to Homewerks for sponsoring this post! My little guest bath has come a long way from its days as a ballerina-bordered, pepto-bismol-colored “statement.” After we moved in and fixed it up, it had its hey day as a rarely used guest bathroom, complete with carefully placed soaps and new, fresh white hand towels … you know, the kinds of things that vanish the moment you pop out a kid. Like, the instant the child emerges from you, they are gone. It’s wild. Nowadays, it’s home to bath toys and Toy Story-branded toothpaste, but we still like to freshen it up when we have company coming, and this week we made the snazziest of updates. (Wait til you see!) Beer penetration fell 1 % from 2016 to 2017 in the US market, while both wine and spirits were unmoved, according to Nielsen ratings. While some argue that calling a 1% d...

Hello my friends!  I am now back from Las Vegas and had a FABULOUS time!  It is such a fun place to visit and I had a great time catching up with one of my best friends from way back in Kindergarten.  We spent our time lounging by the pool {yes, even in 110 degree temperatures!}, shopping up a storm, and taking in all of the amazing, crazy sights and sounds of Las Vegas.  I can’t wait to go back! For those of you that sent me emails and questions while I was gone, I am trying to get back to everyone that I can.  I am going through about 300 emails so I am hoping that I don’t miss anyone.  If you had a specific question and I didn’t reply, you might want to ask me again.  I promise I am not ignoring you! Okay, so {finally} onto some bathroom organization!  I have been working on little “mini makeovers” for my bathrooms over the last couple of months .  Our main master bathroom and our ensuite bathroom both need a few upgrades but I wanted to get things organized first before tackling...
