First Time Mom’s Guide: Summer Infant – Newborn-to-Toddler Bath Center & Shower Review Having a good baby bath should be somewhere on your list and depending on your lifestyle or home you may not need a big baby bath for a while.  Of course if you have limited space or not a lot of counter space having a bath that can transition with the life of your baby well into being a toddler should be something to consider.  I browsed tons of baby baths going over some of the pros and cons of each.  In the end, the Summer Infant Newborn to Toddler Bath Center & Shower was the one I choose for my registry. I choose this one mostly because it was transitional, I knew this bath could get me through the early months and eventually the early years of bathing my little one.  I find the Summer Infant brand to be quite versatile when it comes to baby baths and there seems to something for every type of parent and price margin.  For space reasons I choose this bath as I d...

Two days after welcoming a baby boy, 31-year-old Carla Murphy of Altoona, Pennsylvania smoked bath salts and attacked the maternity ward staff at Altoona Regional Hospital . The Daily Mail reports that on June 17, the new mom was found sweating and acting aggressively by nurses, and was then found naked and rolling around on the shower floor. According to the Altoona Mirror, police were called after hospital staff reported Murphy to be shouting, cursing and being aggressive with several nurses. L L 18 February 2016 Is it better to have a trifold screen that folds flat against the wall or a fixed and folding screen in a bath tub? I have been advised by some that tri fold bathroom screens over baths are not very durable or sturdy and by others that it works well and no problems. Any one with experience, would greatly appreciate your help! Bookmark Like

The Waddle's Not So Cute Anymore

It's the final countdown -- fast approaching single -digit weeks -- before you get to meet your baby and coo over those tiny fingers and toes. Unfortunately, tiny isn't the word that comes to mind these days. The homestretch can be, well, a stretch. Itchy bellies, achy backs, swollen ankles, hemorrhoids -- you name the annoyance, and some expectant mom probably feels it. The real remedy, of course, is childbirth. But since that option is still a bit premature, we asked an obstetrician, a midwife, and a family practitioner to share their best trade secrets for surviving the common aches and pains of the third trimester. Our experts: Owen Montgomery, MD, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia; Stephanie Lowell, a certified nurse midwife in Phoenix, Ariz.; and. Bruce Bagley, MD, a family-practice physician in Latham, N.Y., and former president of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Make sure to talk...
