Waterproofing the Shower Benches
When the contractor waterproofed our shower pans he was also supposed to waterproof the shower benches.
The waterproofed master shower. He came back to apply a different kind of waterproofing to the shower benches.
Both the conservatory and master bathroom showers have built in benches.First he applied a flexible waterproof caulk in a tube to all the corners of the benches.
Flexible caulk was applied to the corners before the RedGuard was rolled on in the conservatory shower. Then he covered the entire area and up the wall above the Kerdi with a waterproof membrane called RedGard.
A small tub of RedGard covered both showers with plenty remaining. The RedGard paints on with a roller and/or brush.
