More From Latest Product Recalls 20 articles Courtesy of Summer Infant Oct 7, 2016 The baby brand Summer Infant is recalling its Lil' Luxuries Whirlpool , Bubbling Spa & Shower because fabric slings can detach from the tub, posing a risk of injury and drowning, the Consumer Product Safety Commission says. So far, the CPSC has received 91 incidents of the sling detaching, including 11 reports of infants who got bumped on the head. These motorized whirlpool baths are battery-operated and meant for kids from birth to 2 years old. The model in question has a fabric sling where you place your child, rather than a plastic clip, which is sturdier. The CPSC says the recalled tubs are missing a clip to hold the headrest area of the fabric sling in the plastic frame. If you have a tub with a plastic clip, that's still safe to use.
