The bathroom is finished! Woohoo! I’m so excited to be done!  I now have two whole rooms that are completely finished in my house.  😀  And they just happen to be the two most challenging — a total gut and remodel of a kitchen and a bathroom.  The rest of the rooms should feel like a walk in the park after these! I started this remodel on January 22nd — almost exactly six months ago — and have been working on it off and on since then. I took a break during my father-in-law’s two-week visit in March, another break during my two- week blogging break , and yet another break while I finished up the condo. It's spring! And of course now's the perfect time to tackle your spring cleaning . This is a good time to do a good heavy-duty cleaning of areas you have avoided over the winter. Real Simple magazine 's Kris Connell stopped by The Saturday Early Show to share some advice on tackling that traditional annual chore . When adventurous young couple Josh and Stacy Betts began planning their first home, they talked about the possibilities of incorporating aspects of modern design. After learning more about its aesthetics - clean unadorned surfaces , neutral palette as a backdrop to bold color and an open floor plan - they knew, without a doubt, they wanted to go all in.  They embraced the idea of living in a home that was different. “Anything outside the box is what we went for,” Stacy says.
