Gambar
I’m sure we all have our own routines when it comes to cleaning the bathroom. I usually start with the toilet, then move to the shower, then address the sink, mirror, and floors. In fact, if I can clean all of those in one go, I’m probably feeling really productive! But beyond those weekly maintenance cleanings , there’s definitely more we should be doing. Bathrooms have the potential to become the dirtiest room in the house if left unchecked, due to the unique combination of warmth, humidity, and bacteria that congregate there. Inside bath and kitchen showroom Studio 41 | 2016-02-12

Several months ago I was in the Chicagolandarea to give a talk to an NKBA gathering. While there, I visited several wholesaler showrooms. One of them absolutely knocked my socks off! Over the years I have visited several-hundred showrooms across America and Canada. I’ve seen the good, the not so good and everything between. When I drove up to, walked into and walked through the Studio 41 showroom in the Chicago north suburb of Highland Park , Ill., I knew I was in one of the best showrooms I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. My good friend, Bob Lando , who recently retired from Community Home Supply in Chicago, was my tour guide for the day. His daughter, Abbey Wagner , a sales consultant at Studio 41, was our very capable guide through the showroom. I certainly had heard of Studio 41and knew the same company was operating three of the new Kohler Signature showrooms , but I wasn’t aware of how well-done and well-marketed these showrooms were. Let’s start with a brief histo...

Our shower has a wall- mounted mixer tap independent of the bath taps. W hen it is turned right over to hot it is still not hot enough, at least in the winter, so we turn up the heat regulator on the combi boiler to get hot showers. However, that then means the water coming through the kitchen tap is very hot. The shower is on the same floor as the kitchen and only slightly further away from the boiler. Our gas bills at £80 a month seem very high for a small flat. AL, Twickenham Pay Murphy, a heating expert at Pimlico Plumbers, says: The details of your question pretty much suggest the answer. Given that the water is so hot coming out of the kitchen tap the most likely suspect is your mixer tap not doing its job properly, most likely through wear. The other possibi...

Custom shower pans the best option if you want a 100% waterproof shower. Recently Steve had to remodel a bathroom that had a leaky fiberglass shower pan . Any DIYer can do this project in just a few hours and with minimal tools. KBRS: What’s the Story? Many homeowners have shower pan leaks . Let's get started with energy shots, from a young man in southern California: Hi, Mr. Dunning. What's your take on those 5- Hour Energy Shots , and how they affect the u...
