Half Bath | A Design Dream Come True

After a few days of chaos, stress, illness & fun, it feels great to take a moment to decompress & share something I’ve been excited about completing – our half bathroom. In the midst of chaos, I find sanity in organization, peace in pretty. Even if the rest of me feels out of sorts, at least this little half bath doesn ’t. I often start projects – multiple at one time, never truly finishing one. Do you do that? I decided that this Spring, I would take some time to complete each space, giving each the finishing touches I always intended to, but neglected to do in favor of a new project {#celebratehome}. Master Bathroom Days 5-7: Shower Pan Preslope and Liner

One of the options when installing a tile shower is to use a pre- made fiberglass shower pan (which is exactly what I ripped out of my original shower ) but I didn't want that look, or to be constrained by the dimensions that are available.  I wanted a 'custom' shower. Therefore I settled on a " deck mud shower floor " which is made of multiple layers of cement with a PVC liner in between them.  I wouldn't call this a starter DIY project , but if you are even a little bit comfortable with working with mortar, it is completely doable by the average homeowner.
