All opinions are mine alone. #WetSkinMoisturizer #CollectiveBias I’m a bath gal and always have been. In winter especially, I love to turn on the water as hot as I can stand and just soak in bubbles, salts, or bath bombs. Since I typically enjoy a winter bath right before bed, I love to soak in soothing lavender bath salts that I whip up at home with just three simple ingredients. Lavender calms and relaxes which makes it ideal for pre-bedtime rituals. For me, it’s my preferred way to unwind and melt away my worries, so I thought I’d share how I make these Soothing Lavender Bath Salts . SUPPLIES dried lavender epsom salts lavender essential oil glass container I start by adding about a quarter cup of dried lavender to my glass container . Lavender & Orange Epsom Salt Bath

Last night marked the first real snowfall here in Minneapolis. Although there are just a few inches on the ground, the transition to winter is evident. The air is crisper and chillier, and I find myself reaching for gloves every time I go out. Soon enough, I’ll be well into my first Minnesota winter. Uh oh 😉 … Cue the hot tea, cozy sweaters, and of course, some warm soups and stews. Bundling up and nourishing ourselves with hot foods and drinks is a sure way to stay warm in the winter, but we can also bear the cold by taking an occasional bath . While soaking in hot water is a great way to unwind and relax, adding epsom salts to a bath can provide even more benefits. Epsom salts are made from magnesium and sulfate, dissolve easily in water, and are readily absorbed through the skin. Soaking in an epsom salt bath  is an alternative way to take in magnesium, a mineral that is essential to overall wellness. Epsom salts are a natural replacement for commercial bath salts that may contai...

How To Take The Ultimate Bath

Have you ever wondered if taking a bath is a good or bad idea? Well, here are all of the answers to your questions. Baths are wonderful and therapeutic. Throughout history, they have been used to help with sore muscles and relaxation after a hard day. Baths have multiple intrinsic benefits for your body and mind. However, we often don’t make time for a bath in our daily routine. We think that it requires too much work and prep time. The fact is that a bath can help you more than you realize, especially if you boost your experience. Number one rule: Shower before and after you bathe. You don’t want to be sitting in your own dirtiness. This can easily be avoided by just taking a shower to quickly clean off the grime of your day. It’s important to shower after to get any oils, salts, or soaps off of your skin. We want your skin to absorb the salt, oils, and soaps, but we don’t want to leave a layer of residue on top of your skin. Make sure your bathtub is clean or this prep isn’t worth i...
